Songbird, by P. L. Parker
In her short western romance story, presented by the Cactus Rose Line of The Wild Rose Press, P.L. Parker introduces us to a woman working in western saloon, a singer and well-loved by her customers, gets a shock when day when a phantom from her past arrives in the form of the husband she escaped a year ago. Not that he was unloving or abusive or anything like that, it was more that Emily had fears of marriage that she has yet to overcome. But she never dreamed he'd come after her. Will he be able to win her heart, and convince her they were meant for each other?
I picked this up at the Wild Rose Press "free reads" section, and if you'd like to check it out, you can too.
I've a much more detailed review up at the Examiner here, if you'd be so kind as to give it a click.

His transgression might just be worse. If he acts on his love, not only Wren, but the whole tribe might be in jeapordy. Yet there is a dark spirit lurking, and he might just help the evil Blackleg tribe succeed in enslaving the Nimiipuu once and for all.

Night Embrace by Sherrilyn Kenyon
The Celt Talon gets hit by a Mardi Gras float, and Sunshine, a flaky, hippie artist takes him home to nurse him back to health. Little does she know he's an immortal darkhunter. And that's not all, since it seems she reminds Talon of his long-dead wife. She reminds him of her a lot. Could it be that she is the reincarnation of his beloved? That's only one puzzle, yet Talon has other things on his mind there's a new Dark-hunter in town, and he and Talon do not get along. And there's the little matter of the god that Talon ticked off centuries ago. A god that wants his vengence.
(I purchased this one at a local bookstore)

The Moon, the Madness and the Magic by Eliza March
(Warning: This one is on the erotic side. But Ms. March is a good friend of mine; so I'm placing this here).
A faery shapeshifter must convince Roarke that he's a little more than just a werewolf. He is in fact, the fated leader of the people of the Enchanted Mountain. To do this, she must not only win over his body and his libido, but his heart--and that of his friend Dane. :)If she can't, the people of Enchanted Mountain are doomed. This one is an erotic romance title, available at Siren-Bookstrand. My review copy came from Eliza March.

Lady of Light and Shadows by C.L. Wilson continues the Tairen Soul series and sees Ellysetta in the days before her marriage to Rain dealing with terrible nightmares, with Exorcists taking an interest in her,and of course, more trouble from the Mages. But now, the terrible secret of Elly's birth is about to be revealed... one that just might put Rain's love for her in severe jeopardy!
September: Lord of the Fading Lands by C.L. Wilson
Rain Tairen Soul, king of the Fae, must find a way to save his people and the Tairen he protects while convincing the humans that can't trust the Mages, the enemy in a war his people fought a milennium ago. If that task wasn't monumental enough, he must even convince a young weaver's daughter (not to mention her family) that she is his fated Truemate, destined to become queen of the Fae, and try to protect her from the dastardly plotting of the Mages, and the greedy butcher's son who had his eye on her, before Rain showed up. An excellent, thrilling tale, and though it is shelved in Romance, I think it is one of the best Fantasy novels I've read in a long time!
Between Light and Dark by Elissa Wilds
With Earth about to be overrun by demons, one woman has to come to terms with her magickal legacy, and accept the love of a god, and magickal instruction of which she is sorely in need, or all on Earth shall suffer for it.
Part Charmed, part Alice Hoffman, part Hitchcock, Elissa Wilds' first novel Between Light and Dark is a delightful read, and I look forward to getting my hands on the sequel Darkness Rising! I think lovers of Paranormal Romance should enjoy this.

With her son's nosy eighth grade art teacher hanging around, though, jumping back into the dating pool might get a bit--ahem--hairy. This is a hilarious little novel of life on the downside of forty. Will Jill find the perfect mate? Will she survive the pre-date rituals? (The most hilarious scene in the book, gals. ;)) You'll have to read to find out!
